Day 1 Xi’an 
The tour guide and driver will meet you at the Xi'an airport and transfer you to the hotel for checking in. After check in you may spend free time for the rest of the day doing a little exploration in Xi'an city at your leisure. Xi'an is a very famous historical city, which used to be the capitals for 13 dynasties of ancient China. It used to be called Chang'an in the history.

Day 2 Xi'an 
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, we will drive about 1hr to Lintong county to visit the most impressive historic site, Terra-Cotta Warrior . It is one of most significant archeological excavations in the 20th century. Archeological work is still going at this site, which is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum in Lintong. It can be a must sight for any visitors to China. You will be amazed by the culture and history to get a special feeling back to Qin Dynasty during the 3hrs visiting. (Attention:No flash when take photos)
After lunch we will keep going to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda . It was built in the 7th century for storing Buddhist scriptures collected and translated by a famous Chinese Monk , Xuanzang . Big Wild Goose Pagoda totally has seven storied with the architecture of traditional Chinese style decorating with some Buddha statues.
After this go to visit the Ancient City Wall . The city wall was built in the 14th century , totally 13.7km in perimeter. This can be the most complete ancient city wall existed in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive facilities in the world. Standing on the ancient wall, you might find some special feelings from ancient time. You may experience to walk around the ancient city wall or cycling on it.
The last site today will be the Old Muslim Quarter , which is of a Chinese traditional Alhambresque architecture with a long history and large scale. It greatly combined Islamic culture with Chinese culture. The combination of the Grand Mosque and the Muslim Quarter is now an important ecological preservation in Shaanxi Province and a national-level historical and cultural preservation site as well. You may choose to have some local foods in Muslim quarter

Day 3 Xi’an
Dunhuang This morning we will transfer you to the Xian Yang airport to catch the flight for Dunhuang. After short rest in hotel go to visit the Echoing Sand Dune and Crescent Lake . When the strong wind occurs, the sands will be blown up. So the special sound will be made,which sounds sometimes as strong as thunder and sometimes as light as music instrument when blew by breeze.There is also a Crescent Lake that has been surrounded by the sand dune for thousands of years without ever being buried by the sands. Camel ride like the Silk Road Caravan in the vast desert will be an interesting experience .You may choose to ride it or not,depending on your own interest. (It approximately takes 40-50mins). Please bring your sunglasses,sun creanm for strong sun ray and mask to keep out the dust.
After dinner we will arrange you to enjoy the wonderful Silk Road Dancing Show,which is compared as the "culture banquet" along the silk road.

Day 4 Dunhuang 
After breakfast we will spend the whole morning in the area of Mogao grottos , also well known as the Thousand Buddha Grottos in local. It was listed as World Heritage site in 1987 by UNESCO. It is one of the great artistic and religious wonders of the world and it is famous for its exquisite murals and various sculptures inside the caves,which was built in different dynasties,spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art. You have chance to enjoy the Silk Road movies in the tourists center about 50 minutes before our exploration into the grottos. The professional docent from the Mogao grottos will show you around 8 grottos with their special flashlight,ensuring you have clear view of the murals and paintings. (Note: No photos and video inside the caves and the cinemas of tourists centre). It will take around 3.5-4 hours to visit including movie. After the grottos drive around 1.5 hour to visit the Yumen pass and the Great Wall in Han dynasty. The Yumen Pass is also called Jade Gate Pass ,which is located in the northwest of dunhuang 100km . It is the north pass of the silk road over 2000 years. A lot of beautiful jades were transported to China through this gate,so it got the name Jade Gate Pass. The great wall of Han Dynasty was bulit in west Han dynasty during 2 century BC. At that time it is used to defend the strong cavalry from Huns,the strong minority from north. The construction is quite different from other parts of great wall. It is made of one layer of sandstone and one layer of straw and tamarisk,which is quite different from other great walls.

Turpan After breakfast and check out we will visit Dunhuang Museum , where you may know prosperous history of over 2000 years and visit abundant cultural relics in different dynasties from Dunhuang area. After Dunhuang museum drive 2 hours to Liuyuannan fast train station to catch the train to Turpan

Day 6 Turpan 
In the morning after breakfast we will pick you up to visit the oldest Uighur village Tuyuq Mazha Village , which is located in the very center of Flaming Mountain Canyon. It used to be the holy site of Buddhism and Islam. It has a history of more than 1700 years. The Tuyuq mazha village is the first islamic holy land in China,known as the mecca of China. It is also an important relay station for Buddhism to spread to China. From here you can enjoy the outlook of the Flaming Mountain ,the hottest place in China,which is an important point for making the Chinese traditional legendary teleplay "Journey to the West". After this we will head for the next point. the Astana Tombs. Here is the graveyard for the residents who lived in the ancient Gaochang City. Plenty of cultural relics had been unearthed,such as Chinese documents,coins,textiles,silk-paintings,epitaphs,wooden wares,clay sculptures,potteries,crops,foods and so on. The paintings in the tombs are also interesting,which show the people's life at that time.

Urumuqi In the morning the guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to visit the Jiaohe ruins , which has a history of 2,300 years and lies between two rivers on a loess plateau atop a cliff of over 30m. It can be the highlights of your Turpan tour. It is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China, and it was included in the World Heritage List on June 22,2014. After this we are going to the Karez well , which is a special irrigation system in desert areas and still used today. It is a unique irrigation system in Turpan. It takes advantage of the slopes,draws the underground water to flow by itself to irrigate farmland. It consists of four parts: vertical wells, underground channels,ground canals and small reservoirs. Then continue to our next stop Emin Minaret,the largest Islamic minaret in China built in 1778. In the afternoon we will drive about 2.5 hrs to Urumqi which is the capital city of Xinjiang Province. On the way we will pass by the wind farm which is the largest one in Asia spreading at the foot of Tianshan Mountain and take a glimpse of Salt Lake in Dabancheng. Upon arrival , you will have a chance to visit the Urumuqi International Bazaar,the largest bazaar in Urumqi. You'll find a bustling market filled with fruits,clothing,crafts, knives, carpets and almost anything that you can imagine.

Kashgar In the morning the guide will take you to visit Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Museum , where you may see archaeological treasure from the Silk Road and the minorities'culture and custom of Xinjiang. It is a large integrated museum covering the centre of the collection and study for cultural relics in Xinjiang. Over 50,000 pieces of various kinds of cultural relics were stored in the museum, among which are the ancient mummies represented by the "Loulan Beauty",manuscripts in Chinese, Karosthi, Qiuci,Yanji,Tibetan,Uyghurian and other characters prevailing in ancient western regions of China,as well as silk,wool,cotton and hemp fabrics and folk raiment, etc.. Finish visiting the museum we will send you to the Urumuqi airport to catch your flight to Kashgar,a city full of folk customs. Upon your arrival another guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel and check in.

Karakul Lake (220km, around 3.5 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast your guide and driver will meet you at hotel lobby to start the trip today. You will spend around 4 hours driving on the karakoram highway between China and Pakistan and enjoying the landscape of Pamir Plateau. On the way we will stop at the Opal village to visit the traditional bustling bazaar. Then we will take you to explore the stunning landscape surrounding the Karakul Lake , where the beautiful snow mountain and the herds of livestock around the lakeside are reflected in the lake. The reflection is extraordinarily graceful. The Kirghiz herdsmen usually settle down and pasture their herds around here. Enough time will be left for you to do some leisure walking and enjoy the splendid scenery of Muztagh Peak. You still have chance to visit the local Kirgiz family in their yurt if you would like. In the late afternoon we take the Karakoram highway again back to Kashgar city.
(Night market might be a nice place to taste local food and experience the real life of the locals)

(Note: Choose your date to be Sunday today) Today is Sunday. We will do a full day excursion tour around Kashgar city. We will start from the Sunday bazaar .It consists of two sections, which are outdoor animal bazaar and covered bazaar. Firstly we will head for the outdoor Animal Bazaar, the must bazaar we visit, where the farmers and buyers arriving by donkey cart,truck,bicycle,horseback,motorbike or on foot to do some trades with their animals. It's loud,lively and cheerful as they arrive. It is quite interesting to witness their typical way of bargaining. Then we drive back to Kashgar city to visit the Old Town ,where you may make a furthe rexploration to the special culture and the lifestyle of locals. Lunch will be recommended in the local Restaurant. After lunch we are going for the Apak Hoja Tomb,which can be the holiest place in Xinjiang and an architectural treasure as well. After this we go to visit the covered bazaar selling clothing,nuts,household goods for dailylife and many particular things out of your imagination. Then drive to visit the Id-Kah Mosque , which is the largest mosque in China and the most sacred mosque for the locals to practise their Islamic activities. Kashgar city tour will end with the wandering to the bustling Handicraft Street,where you may find dazzling jewelry, bronze wares,primitive potteries,unique musical instruments,some goods for daily life of the locals. The sparetime in the tea house is our special arrangement for you to relax and get a feel for the local culture and traditions.
