Day 1  Lanzhou  

Today you arrive at Lanzhou by train or flight by your own. Upon arrival，the guide and driver will meet you on time and then  transfer you to the hotel for rest.  Lanzhou city is an important transportation hub along the silk road. Now it is capital city of Gansu province. Lanzhou is also the only city which the yellow river runs through.The legacy of centuries of travel and trade on the Silk Road are the Binglingsi Grottoes near Lanzhou and ancient temples and fortifications in the Hexi Corridor， and the modern city of Lanzhou offers Gansu Provincial Museum as a travel highlight and modern facilities for a SilkRoad tour.  Beef noodle  is the special local flavor in Lanzhou where beef noodle was originally  found in Qing dynasty. For Lanzhou citizen sometimes beef noodle can be popular meal for the whole day.

Day 2   Lanzhou     Zhangye   D2753 (18:43-21:58) 

The guide will meet you at the hotel in the early morning，then drive about 2 hrs to visit the Binglingsi grottos . Enjoy Cruising  to Binglingsi grottos， which stretch for 200 meters，were built during the Western Qin，North Wei，Sui， Tang ， Song ， Yuan，Ming，Qing dynasties (from 3rd to 18th centuries). They are highly valued for their contribution to research into the history of Chinese painting and the spread of Buddhism during that time. Then you will get back to Lanzhou to visit the first  iron bridge ， Zhongshan Bridge  above the Yellow River，it can be the first highway bridge along the ancient Yellow River. Afterwards， transfer to Yellow River Mother Statue，explore the ancient history and culture of Gansu Province and stroll around the Water wheel garden ， an ancient irrigation tool.
After visiting the driver will transfer you to the Lanzhouxi fast train station and take an express train to Zhangye for rest.

Day 3   Zhangye (Linze station)       Jiayuguan  D2749 (17:19-18:28) 

After breakfast we will take you to visit Giant Sleeping Buddha Temple  ，which is the important place of the Silk Road. The Giant Buddha Temple is the largest architectural relic in Gansu Province of the Western Xia (1038-1227) period. China's largest reclining Buddha is well preserved in this temple. Then keep going to visit  Zhangye Danxia World Geopark . It is located in the north of Qilian mountains， Sunan County territory， which covers an area over 536 square km. The Dan Xia park  is  named rainbow mountain by locals . It must be a wonderful place to take photos for terrific sceneries.  After Danxia take the express train from Zhangye Linze station to Jiayuguan. Met at Jiayuguan fast train station and be transferred to the hotel for rest.

Day 4   Jiayuguan     Dunhuang  (375kms， 4.5-5hrs driving)

In the early morning we will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to visit the Jiayuguan fort. The fort was built from 14 century in Ming dynasty of China.  It is located at the west end of Ming great wall，which can be the western customs in Ming dynasty (1368-1644 AD). Then go to Wei and Jin Tombs ，which are ancient tombs with brick paintings paited from Wei & Jin dynasty( 265-420 AD). The wall paintings  are lifelike and succinct in style and cover a wide range of subjects for politics， economics， culture， military affairs， folkcustoms and science and technology during the Wei and Jin periods. The local people's life in Wei and Jin dynasty was also shown on the brick paintings. Afterwards we will drive around 4.5-5 hrs to the next stop Dunhuang . Upon arrival， visit the Echoing Sanddune and Crescent Lake . Singing-Sanddunes， known as Mingsha Mountain to  Chinese，  it is famous for constant sound like music of the moving sand . The Crescent Lake is situated within Echoing-Sanddunes Area， which is actually a small oasis in the desert. The name of lake was given by local people because the shape of lake looks like a crescent moon. After visit， you can stroll around  Shazhou Night Market  by your own， which is the most bustling place of Dunhuang at night. It is a good chance for you to taste the local flavors and buy some souvenirs for your family and friends.

Day 5   Dunhuang  Turpan   D2711(17:30-21:03)

After breakfast  visit the Mogao Grottos，also known as the Thousand Buddha Caves in local. It is listed as the world heritage in 1987 by  UNESCO. It is compared as the mural gallery because of  exquisite murals which is totally 45，000 square meters. Various sculptures are made inside the caves， which was built in different dynasties， spanning 1，000 years of Buddhist art. After lunch drive around 2hrs to Liuyuannan fast train station and take the express train to Turpan .The city was built as a beautiful oasis garden city， which not only features in history and civilization of the ancient Silk Road，but also presents modern elegant demeanor. Now Turpan is an important base of grape，  Hami melon， cotton and oil of the autonomous region and even in our country. Upon arrival， visit the local Uygur family in the vineyard.

Day 6   Turpan    Urumqi (200kms，3hrs driving)

In the morning your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to visit the Karez Well . It is a special irrigation system in the dry areas， which is still used today. It takes advantage of the slopes and draws underground water to flow by itself to irrigate farmlands. It consists of four parts: underground channels， vertical wells， ground canals and small reservoirs. Then continue to next place，  Emin Minaret ，which was built in 1778 and is the largest Islamic minaret in China . Finally we will go to the highlight of your Turpan tour Jiaohe Ruins ，with a history of 2，300 years. It lies between two rivers on a loess terrace with a cliff of over 30m. It is one of the best preserved ruins by raw soil in China， and  it was included in the World Heritage List on June 22， 2014. In the afternoon we will drive about 2.5 hrs to Urumqi which is the capital city of Xinjiang Urgur Autonomous Region.

Day 7   Urumqi    Heavenly Lake (120kms，1.5hrs driving)

After breakfast the guide will meet you at the hotel and then go to visit the Heavenly Lake，a picturesque Alpine lake， 2000m up along Tianshan mountain ranges. Heavenly Lake is a long and narrow gourd-shaped moraine lake which is around 3400 meters long and 1500 meters wide. The deepest point is 105 meters for the whole lake with an average depth of 40meters， covering an area of about 5.9 square kilometers. There are eight beautiful scenic spots around the lake scenic area. Afternoon drive back to Urumqi to visit the Urumuqi Interrnational Grand Bazaar， the largest bazaar in Urumqi， which is a bustling market filled with fruits， clothing， crafts， knives， carpets etc.

Day 8   Urumqi       Your Home

Today you will go to the Urumuqi airport and fly back to your sweet home . We wish you  a pleasant  journey back home.
