The construction of Jiaohe ruins can be the largest , oldest and best preserved raw-soil construction city in the world. And it‘s the most complete urban remains as well ,which was kept over 2000 years. It’s well known as the eastern Pompeii. In 2014 Jioahe ruins were put into the world heritage list by UNESCO.

The karez with the Great wall and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal are well known as three major projects in ancient China. The karez was originally found in Han dynasty 2000 years ago. It is one kind of special ways to draw water from underground to the ground by level set construction, which is mainly used for irrigating farmlands and residential water. It got the reputation of underground great wall and underground canal.

Tuyuq is located in the east of Turpan city 55km,and the Tuyuq Mazha village is just built in the grand canyon of Tuyuq, surrounding around the grand mosque. It has a history of more than 1700 years. The Tuyuq mazha village is the first islamic holy land in China,known as the mecca of China. It is also an important relay station for Buddhism to spread to China.

Emin Minaret is an Islamic tower with novel and unique shape,which was built in 1778 A.D. of Qing dynasty(1644-1911A.D.).It is the largest ancient tower existing in Xinjiang. The minaret is relative with the Uygur leader of Turpan at that time, whose name was Emin. In 1985 it was listed as the national key cultural relic site.

The old city of Kashgar is the only labyrinthine urban blocks in China with Islamic culture as its characteristics. In the history it was the largest distribution center of agricultural and animal husbandry products, as well as an important commercial port town on the ancient Silk Road ,the hinge of communication between the East and the West, and an important meeting point of economy, culture and civilization between the East and the West.Now it is a national 5A tourist attraction.
