The bazaar in Kashgar is s a good place to go shopping, even for window shoppings. Local specialities include various carpets made in locally or imported from surrounding countries, Yingisar Knives, colourful Uyghur hats for men and women (doppa, kalpak),wood works, ceramics, jewellery,local jades andmusical instruments.
The Uyghur embroidered hat has an ancient and unique ethnic style. The embroidery work is fine, with various patterns, bright patterns and beautiful and elegant appearance.
