Brief Introduction: Dan Geer ancient city is located in the huangyuan county in qinghai province and  in the north shore of the Yellow River, the west sea. It is away from Xining city 40 km, well compared as the throat of Qinghai and  Tibet.' Dan Geer ' means white conch in Tibet language. The Dan Geer city used to be reputated as the trading capital and  little Beijing,where the loess plateau and Qinghai-tibet plateau combined , farming culture and the grassland culture  intersected , Tang Fan road and south silk road went through and  many people gathered .

Dan Geer Ancient city was built in Ming dynasty around 14th century.It was enlarged in  the Qing dynasty .Now it covers an area of 250,000 square meters, has a history of over 600 years ago, and is an ancient historical and cultural city. In the city many old constructions still exist,such as  interweaved streets and alleys, the residential courtyards with unique structure, magnificent temples and monasteries, intact family firms,different styles of HuangYuan lamp, and so on , which carries strong multicultural information, reflects the rich local national characteristics and the strange vision of farming and animal husbandry cultures intersection fusion.
